Director Erik Flint moving Saddam Hussein’s sword hand into storage. The Director jumped right in and helped with the storage of artifacts of the Lewis Army Museum prior to the temporary closure of the Lewis Army Museum in preparation for the much needed  renovations that will cause the Museum to be closed during the busy summer 2016 season. Visitors are still able to walk through the Museum’s outdoor vehicle display until the Museum’s scheduled grand re-opening slated for early 2017.

A lot of American military history in one small room! Manikins dressed in period military uniforms that were displayed throughout the Lewis Army Museum are temporarily stored in one room on the second floor of the Museum, June 2016. Bet these Battle Buddies had a lot to talk about.

The Lewis Army Museum is temporarily closed for much needed renovations but is slated to re-open in early 2017.
